"Ring of Champions"

Coach Allan Trimble left a legacy that has built young men into the amazing leaders of tomorrow. A legacy that extends beyond the gridiron and into the lives of players, coaches and friends.

Before his passing, Coach Trimble asked his friends at J. David Jewelry to create a championship ring encompassing all thirteen State Championships. J. David set out to create something that would not only represent each championship but tell the story of a true leader. This ring encompasses many components to remind us of Coach Trimble and his leadership. A legacy we want to continue. It is our honor to present to you, the Coach Allan Trimble Ring of Championships.

One side of the ring bears Coach’s last name and forever immortalizing his position on the team as “Head Coach.” Under Coach’s name states “Iron Sharpens Iron”, referring to Proverbs 27:17. Coach taught his players this main core value. We should always be encouraging, coaching, challenging, and growing with one another in faith. This belief is what made his team the champions that they are. Like a blacksmith shaping a sword with a hammer, the contact can be painful at times, but it is the interaction that produces the stronger weapon.

The other side of the ring is inscribed with the name of the mighty Jenks Trojans. Another image of the end goal every high school sports team has, the golden football, sits below it. Three football players can be seen in motion, signifying the team and the players’ continual growth. Coach always emphasized the obstacles you must overcome throughout your journey in order to arrive at your destination. Coach Trimble’s career win-loss record of 242-41 can proudly be seen. Coach was just as proud of every loss as he was each win. He often stated “If it was all about the championships, I would have been done a long time ago.”

The under gallery of the ring has a Trojan shield with the focus of Coach Trimble’s life inscribed into it, “Faith, Family, Football,” exactly in the order of importance. Each player on the team was considered to be a member of Coach’s extended family. They looked up to him as a leader knowing he drew his strength and purpose through his Faith in Jesus Christ. In Scripture, we as Christians are instructed in Ephesians 6:10-17 to suit up in the “full armor of God” so we can stand against our enemy. Ultimately, the Lord is described as our Shield. No matter who rises up against us, He covers us. We are guarded from everything that would threaten us. Headed into battle with your teammates, you were protecting the brothers at your sides. This is symbolic of Coach Trimble’s coaching style.  Coach Trimble knew the secret to winning football games was developing leadership, camaraderie, and relationship. That, was his ultimate gift to the players.

Inset into this stadium-style ring, the Trojan is layered over three golden trophies representing Coach Trimble’s 11th, 12th and 13th 6A State Championship victories. The entire center display is layered on top of another golden football.

Surrounding the Trojan on this center golden football are 12 diamonds, representing the first 12 championship victories under Coach Trimble’s leadership. Encircling the outer edge are each of the 13 years representing his state championship wins.

Finally, Coach Trimble’s passion: The Trimble Strong Foundation. What began as a phrase to capture the spirit of Coach Trimble has turned into a movement to transform people and communities.

The Trimble Strong Foundation is the breadth of Coach Trimble’s influence. Trimble Strong was founded on Matthew 5: 13-16. Every Christian is called by God to be an influence on the world around them. To 'be salt' means to deliberately seek to influence the people in one's life by showing them the unconditional love of Christ through good deeds. Light is a symbol used to mean awareness, knowledge, and understanding.

The Trimble Strong Foundation exists for the purpose of transforming people from their current position spiritually, emotionally, physically, professionally and financially. We simply want to bring faith, hope and love into the lives of all the people that we interact with. No matter where they are in their journey, and regardless of how they interact with our organization, we want people to be better off for having done so.

The bottom of the ring continues to give focus to Coach Trimble’s driving purpose in high school football as stated earlier, Proverbs 27:17, "As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another." Football is more than just a game, it is transforming men into the leaders of tomorrow. A large part of leadership is constantly holding each other accountable.

Thank you for supporting the Trimble Strong Foundation. Our goal is to continue honoring Coach Trimble's legacy. All proceeds go to the Trimble Strong Foundation. Due to Covid 19 this will be our 2019 Virtual Fundraiser.
